If you’re like most Wisconsinites, you’re soaking up the sun every minute you can and ignoring memories of that white stuff that covered the ground just a few months ago. Since you’re occupying your outdoor space these days as much as your indoors, live up the outdoors with the same flooring products that you use in your bathrooms, kitchens and mudrooms. Consider these options:

- Slate tile. It looks awesome and is a great option for outdoor spaces. With a variety of colors, you can create a pattern that complements your home and can handle the coldest Wisconsin temperatures.
When shopping for flooring for your patio, balcony or steps, make sure you tell your salesperson that you are looking for tiles to use outside to make sure that you get the best outdoor product. Then, set up an installation date and sit back and admire your fantastic outdoor space.
“Toelicious” recipes for grilling out in our wonderful Wisconsin weather!
We’re finding inspiration for this Memorial Day weekend post from our recent “toelicious” ad campaign (or maybe it’s from our hungry stomachs).
Memorial Day weekend in Wisconsin has become synonymous with grilling out. Who wouldn’t enjoy a good dish outdoors while enjoying a four-day-weekend and appreciating the efforts of our service members?
We’re here to help, so we thought we’d suggest recipes for your weekend that involve ONLY your grill, making your weekend “toelicious.”
1 1/2 pound beef cubes, cut in cubes (amount is dependent upon the amount of kabobs you need)
Pineapple, cut in cubes
Red potatoes, cut in cubes
Fresh mushrooms (without stems)
Combine soy sauce and worcestshire sauce in dish. Add beef cubes, making sure that the soy sauce/worcestshire sauce marinade covers beef cubes. Lightly season beef cubes with seasoned salt. Allow marinade to sit for 4-6 hours in refrigerator. Remove from refrigerator. On skewers, alternate beef cubes, pineapple cubes, cherry tomatoes, red potatoes and fresh mushrooms. Start grill. When grill is preheated, place skewers on skewer tray. Grill for 10 minutes or until desired doneness.
Serve with slices of grilled garlic bread.
Put strawberries on skewers. Cover strawberries with balsamic vinegar and roll in sugar. Cook on grill for a few minutes. Serve alone or with ice cream.
